Qualifications

I graduated from the Chico Wellness and Therapy Center completing a State Licensed course for Massage Therapy in March of 2009. I became certified with the State of California that same year. I went on to work with and train under Tanya Deluca at Professional Massage Group until 2014. With Tanya my education included techniques in trigger point therapy, mayo fascial release, deep tissue and rehabilitation massage. At Professional Massage Group I was employed as a massage therapist with a focus on injuries, car accidents and post surgery issues. My education continued at Chico Wellness and Therapy Center with a course study in Neuromuscular Therapy. I have also completed a Level-1 CranioSacral Therapy course with the Upledger Institute at Esalen.

Because my wife works in the film industry my practice has taken me to places such as Los Angeles, CA and Atlanta, GA where I massaged actors and crew members. My skills developed further, helping individuals with highly stressful and physically demanding jobs. Through these experiences I began to understand how important my techniques were to everyone, not just the injured. Massage can be a maintenance tool to help others consistently perform at their Peak Potential.

Early in my career I developed a reputation for helping runners and swimmers, as well as other types of athletes that deal with the stress of training along with the injuries that can arise. Many of my athletic clients have recognized that if they want to sustain a certain level of performance they need the type of therapy my massage can provide. I have spent years studying sports massage techniques that have been successfully applied to the satisfaction of many high performance athletes.
